HAUT \u2013 H\u00dcLLE, ORGAN, ARCHIV,\u00a0SKIN \u2013 MEMBRANE, ORGAN, ARCHIVE<\/h3>

For the first time in my 25 year art career and 15 years since I live in Berlin, one of my \u00a0Holocaust related works will be exhibited in Germany! To make it even a bigger celebration I am also premiering for the first time in the west my project Becoming. The worlds second largest zoetrope.\u00a0<\/p>

HAUT \u2013 H\u00fclle, Organ, Archiv bringt Werke von in Berlin lebenden K\u00fcnstler*innen zusammen, die sich mit der thematischen Vielschichtigkeit von Haut auseinandersetzen. Diese l\u00e4sst die Verwobenheit von u.a. Sexismus, Rassismus, Klassismus, Altersdiskriminierung sichtbar werden, zeugt von individuellen und kollektiven Archivierungspraxen und wird als sinnliches, resistentes und zugleich verwundbares Organ zum Ausgangspunkt k\u00fcnstlerischer Analyse. Damit setzt die Ausstellung dem m\u00e4nnlich gepr\u00e4gten Ort \u2013 der Zitadelle Spandau \u2013 feministische Gegenerz\u00e4hlungen entgegen. Es finden begleitende Veranstaltungen mit Katalogpr\u00e4sentation, Vortr\u00e4gen, Artist Talks, F\u00fchrungen, Filmpr\u00e4sentationen und Performances statt.<\/p>

SKIN \u2013 Membrane, Organ, Archive presents works by women artists based in Berlin who explore the thematic complexity of skin. This makes the interweaving of e.g. sexism, racism, classism, ageism visible, bears witness to individual and collective archiving practices and, as a sensual, resistant and at the same time vulnerable organ, becomes the starting point for artistic analysis. In this way, the exhibition counters the male-dominated location \u2014 the Citadel \u2014 with feminist counter-narratives. Accompanying events include a book launch, lectures, artist talks, guided tours, film presentations and performances.<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t
